"I found that shoe. It was only briefly lost," he defended playfully, palms out.
Loki looked at her as though in surprise (inwardly he wasn't at all). "Oh, you didn't think of it?" He looked between her and Donald, then up at the ceiling. "No, I suppose neither of you would. Donald is a friend of mine, and you know very well that your superior is not happy I am running free in the city. He's already got a lot of eyes on me. Even has my phone tapped, but I don't mind." He pulled the cell out and thumbed about on the apps. "So why wouldn't I think that there were circumstances created to put you in a more advantageous position to watch me through my friend?" He shrugged casually. "And I'm not Old Loki. I protect my friends. The happy part in all this is that I think that if an organization did make it to where you two bumped into each other via a mugging, you weren't a part of it. You're innocent, and that makes me happy, cause you're not unlikable either."
He slid an app away on his phone and put it in his pocket, smiling at her. "And I'm glad you two like each other! Donald really does need a nice gentle-lady like yourself. You can tell he's been a bachelor way too long. So!" He clapped his hands together. "I'm going to let you two get back to snuggling and making out. Forget I was here! Use protection and all that. Oh, good gods, do you even have any?" He looked to Donald. "Seriously, I have a friend who passes them out like candy. I'll make sure you're stocked!" He waved. "See ya! I'll lock the door on the way out! Ah, ah, jeune amour! Au revoir!"
Well, he couldn't help but be a bit mischievous in the end...
