"The cut throat world of business is almost as bad as the cut throat world of cutting throats," she sighed as she started throwing stuff into a bag, including her gear. There was no enthusiasm, she just wanted to get to the bottom of it. She scratched a note to Mia and Maxine telling them that she was going over to "Big Bro's" for a bit and would see them at school tomorrow, also said she was fine, and that everything was okay as far as the news was involved. Why did she have the sinking suspicion that this was going to get worse before it got better?
"I'll be careful," she promised. "Anything feels amiss I know where to hide and there's a safe room." Not that that ever really made anyone feel safe... "I will." She made a note of the address and wrote it down sticking it in her pocket. "Well, maybe we can look into it ourselves. Something tells me that the NTSB and the FAA could miss something. Independent eyes could be a good thing."
She paused for a second before adding something. "Thanks Clint. I really appreciate this." She hadn't thought that he'd say no, but... hell this year had had a lot of ups and downs for her and he hadn't decided she wasn't worth he trouble yet. He'd stuck by instead.
