Who: Rose and Roy When: Late evening, Thursday March 5 Where: Narcotics Anon meeting What: Rose is back in town and figures she should get back into the groove of things. Rating: High-ish for drug references, language?
The Narcotics Anon meetings took place at a community centre. They served shitty coffee and donuts, and she never shared anything, but going actually gave Rose a sense of ...purpose, perhaps.
Plus, she'd promised Roy she'd go. And now that she'd returned from Cambodia, she guessed she should keep up appearances.
Besides, she figured Roy had to miss her. Not just the fact that she was Lian's nanny, but who else would pester him (besides Mia)?
There wasn't much point in hiding in the shadows around this place. More often than not, it was hard to miss a tall white-haired young woman with a similar silvery white eyepatch. It was chilly, and she wore a navy leather jacket with orange piping. There was no snow on the ground, so her silver sneakers sufficed. Orange leather gloves kept her hands warm and a cigarette hung from her lips. She still hadn't given up smoking. Not yet.
It also wasn't that hard to miss Roy, either. Such a doofus... she thought as she saw him. She rolled her eye, but shot him a catlike grin as he came closer. She made a motion with her finger cutting across her throat before showing him a notepad which had the following scrawled on it:
"Hey babe. In case you couldn't tell, I'm winking at you right now."
If she could make sound at the moment, she probably would have uttered a "heh."
