It was weird. Roy was someone close to her that she didn't tend to train with. She watched Lian. They hung out. Sometimes they'd go shooting, and he'd let her play with fun high tech toys.
She wasn't sure why that was, but it probably had something to do with the only other time they'd done this. It'd been when Oliver first let her in costume, Roy had decided to check on her in which he'd annoyingly proclaimed that she wasn't ready to be on her own on the street.
To say she'd been pissed was an understatement.
Mia glanced at him and wondered for only a fraction of a second if this was a good idea. "I don't know. Still think I"m a useless girl." Alright so that hadn't been what he'd said. And in the beginning he hadn't been wrong but that was what working with Oliver was all about improving so she could do this on her own.
Yet, trash talk was the sidekick staple.
So she circled him defensively, keeping her distance at first. She then went in for a jab, something more like warming up than anything serious right away.
