Who: Cissie and Malcolm What: Unexpected Father-Daughter time When: Backdated to post-Valentines day, February 16, 2015 Where: Merlyn penthouse, Manhattan Why: Cissie had the house to herself until Malcolm came home. status: Closed, Incomplete
Glancing down at the floor, Cissie reminded herself that somewhere in the crumpled up pile of papers that currently sat at the foot of the couch were several of her textbooks. It wasn't so much that she needed to be reminded of the fact that they were there, but they were a looming reminder that this was supposed to be a study break. Key word there was supposed to, as she'd stopped studying hours ago in favor of finally finishing up the design. Except that she kept messing it up to the point where she'd need to start re-sketching and that had led to the pile of paper at her feet which were a mix of crumpled drafts and her study notes...
Or it would be at her feet, if she weren't sitting upside down on the couch. She had a black marker stuck into her hair, silver and red ones behind her ears and an eraser between her teeth as she did redid the sketch in pencil. Eventually she'd need to get back to the textbooks, but this was more fun, and she'd been needing to make the final decision on the new costume for months. It would take at least a month to make... It hadn't even occurred to her that she didn't have to make it herself, she needed to talk to Oliver about that and soon. Because as the pencil moved over the paper without any of the mistakes she'd been making? She knew that this would have to be done soon.
"Hm.... cloak or coat?" she murmured to herself trying to get that one last detail. "Do I keep that hood but make it lighter?" Cissie was so focused on the drawing she didn't hear the door opening. Which would have been useful because she was lying on the couch in such a way that her feet were leaning on the back and her hair hung down over the front with the sketch pad held up above her head.
