Re: Dinner - Tony and Steve
Tony didn't talk about his Dad with anyone - it was better not to, better to just uphold the image of Howard that everyone thought, better to keep the resentment tucked way down. He was his own man, and he didn't need to drag up the past. Except for Steve, who...was Steve Rogers and had known his dad before he was all... his dad.
He was willing to argue, and sometimes even concede points. "None taken - the highways are FUBAR. But cars should fly," he said, gesturing with one hand. "Unfortunately, that would be the main reason why flying cars are impractical on a mass scale, but they should be able to fly to prove the physics and engineering of the thing. And because it's now become a family project," he added with a shrug. "It's a nice puzzle to work on." Same as the Roadster he'd started restoring with Howard, and now couldn't bring himself to finish.
