Selina tensed. The thought of being left alone with Bruce filled her with a sudden dread that she wasn't used to. It didn't make much sense really, but she hadn't intended on coming here and spilling her guts for him, or a SHIELD agent, to see. A polite hello was all. Letting him know she was back. At least that's what she told herself when she glanced over towards him tentatively. Damn this was hard work. That tux made things hard work. She wondered if he'd thought of her as much as she'd thought of him. Selina blinked, snapping herself out of the sudden stupor.
"Don't be silly Agent Hill." She spoke quickly, reaching over to where her champagne flute sat on the wall, next to her clutch. "I'm the one getting in the way here, you won Mr Wayne fair and square. Get to know him a little." Selina grabbed her bag smiling back to Bruce.
"He's worth getting to know, I promise."
It was obvious she was making a speedy exit, shoving the bag under her arm and carrying the empty glass she nodded politely to the agent, glancing quickly to Bruce, moving around the pair and heading for the double doors that were wide open leading back to the ballroom.
"It was nice to meet you Agent Hill. Bruce."
She didn't look back. She couldn't look back. Selina stared resolutely forward, striding away with a sway.
