Bruce was looking for Selina. He's been tracking her ever since they're run-in on the balcony, but hadn't wanted to crowd her - especially with so many people watching.
When she separated from the crowd and went wandering the halls, he thought she might be preparing to leave. Deciding it was time to stop hesitating and make a decision to act one way or the other, Bruce considered the matter longer than he probably should have before finally following. Catching up with her in front of his study, he slowed his pace, sliding his hands into his pockets and affecting an air of nonchalance, striving to appear as though he too were just out for a walk away from the press of people elsewhere in the house.
Stopping a few feet away, Bruce leaned with his shoulder against the wall, his voice quiet. "Don't leave yet," he asked her. "I didn't even get to dance with you."
