"Wonderful - " The reply was to both of them and she answered with a smile banishing any bitter taste in her mouth after Bruce's introduction. He was making it clear what was on his mind. Not Ms. Selina Kyle the humanitarian, not Ms. Selina Kyle, animals rights activist. Not even Ms. Selina Kyle, heart breaker. Just that she had been away. Perhaps he didn't know she would be here. The phone call from Alfred she'd received the day previous had made her believe he did, but perhaps that was just Alfred's way of securing her attendance.
" - But hot." She laughed a little at the words smiling to Agent Hill, "Completely different from Gotham or anything I've encountered before. The charity work there was challenging, but I enjoyed it."
Selina didn't turn to look back at Bruce, she couldn't take it. She wanted to see him on his own, not with the woman that had just won him in the auction. She needed to see him on his own. To ask about the letter, to apologise really.
"Going there was one of the best decisions I've ever made." she spoke earnestly to Maria. "Though I missed this place more than I care to admit."
She hoped that would be enough of an indication for him.
