Who: Hulkling, Superboy and npcs
Where: New York City
When: October 8, 2014
What: Hulkling and Superboy get caught in a vicarious situation. There might be panicking.
Rating: PG-13 and up.
There was a reason there were a lot of heroes in New York. Things happened in New York. The city drew trouble and villains like a trailer park drew tornadoes. Some villains were subtle. Some not at all. Such was the case with the explosion caused in an attempt to yank a bank vault through a brick wall.
Teddy wasn't focused on that, though. He was letting other heroes handle the main situation and ground zero. Unfortunately, a lot of power had been knocked out and the next building had taken on damage. So he and others in the vicinity were doing damage control with the civilians while the bad guy was being taken into custody.
He touched his com. "Hey, Supe-B. Is your floor clear? I got everyone evacuated off of fourth and fifth." Teddy walked from the stairway past the elevators, pausing as he looked to the silent doors. They weren't working right now, of course, the power still out. "Hey, did you check the elevators?"
He shrugged his big green shoulders when he got the response, holding his hands up to the narrow crack of the door. The big blunt claws immediately slimmed, becoming flat and narrow enough to fit into the edge. There was a small groan of metal before the door gave under the steady pressure, the metal sliding to the sides.
Teddy looked down first, then up. "Oh, hello," he muttered, looking up five stories where the elevator was braked between floors. Least he was pretty sure that was it. It was terribly dark in here. He flattened his hands against the wall, the fingers broadening, lengthening, and becoming grooved like a geckos. Dark, confined places didn't bother Teddy. He could squeeze out of most anything and spiderwebs bothered him little. So he started make his way up and over the top, opening the top and peering in.
It was only a minute later that Teddy was on the com again. "Super? I need you here, uh, like now. I got someone in the elevator, but she's... there's... She can't move."
