"Very nice?" Selina smirked, not moving an inch. "I think that's the first time I've ever heard you use that word. Nice."
The way his arms hung on her waist made her want to wriggle, his hot breath on her mouth making her want things that she really shouldn't think of, especially with him. It's always been like this with them. A touch here, a motion there. Nothing serious, nothing secure. Everything was so flighty - so frustrating. Her motions on the roofs of Gotham seemed to mirror her life on the ground though, and this made her situation even more depressing. Selina moved her head back a little away from his. The temptation to kiss him again was too great, she couldn't allow herself to give in. No matter how much she wanted too, needed too.
"I need to figure some things out though. I need time." She responded sensibly, trying to make an effort to seem like she hadn't missed him, although it was pretty evident what she was feeling - and he wasn't particularly trying to disguise his feelings either.
"I can't go from one thing to another over night, I assume you understand that?"
