Wanda + Open
Wanda sat on the grass in one of the shadier areas of the lawn. Resting next to her was a plate that once held some cut up hot dogs and ketchup (for Eira, who was now off playing with one of the other children) as well as some ribs and coleslaw for her. Her gazed moved along the yard, surveying the crowd of guests. She was pleased the barbecue was going so well, especially considering the size it ended up becoming. It was supposed to be a relatively small get-together with family and friends, but Wally took it upon himself to invite a whole mass of people to the shindig (his words, not hers). Thankfully, the extra influx of people were easy enough to accommodate, though the yard was proving to be a tad small. No matter, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and that was good enough for her.
She did find herself feeling bad that Loki wasn't able to partake in the festivities, though. It was a shame he had to hide himself away, but at least he had a friend that was keeping him company. She would need to escape the role of hostess for a short time and go meet this new friend of his. For now, though, she was just going to enjoy a moment of relaxation.
