"I un-set the block," Pepper explained, as if it were the most natural and logical thing in the world for her to have done so. "The consequences for denying him the ability to reach me seemed greater than just allowing him the opportunity, and so far, it's been worth my while." It was obvious that Doom had taken a liking - or at least a grudging respect - to Pepper. The affairs of his which he'd chosen to involve her in had been ones that she knew, were she not involved, would likely not have gone so well. "If using me as an intermediary in his International affairs brings a little peace to this world, among other things, I will stay on his speed dial."
Pepper titled her head and looked closer at the picture she had narrowed in on for the sake of decency. Yes... yes, she had thought it looked familiar, but Tony knew Bruce's son personally. Pepper had seen him from a distance at parties, and, of course, tabloids. "Oh!" And then she made the further logical connection as to why the Skrull might have captured him in the first place. "Ohhh..."
Widening the image with her fingers just enough so that Tony could see that Tim was, in fact, suspended in a tube of liquid aboard a Skrull ship, she explained. "Doom sent me this image, some files, and a VM, explaining that he'd deciphered the directions to an abandoned Skrull ship and found Tim inside, in statis. He has no idea who he is, or why he's important, but will turn over the coordinates on the understanding that he's going to take the Skrull replacement in exchange, and doesn't want you, Bruce, or anyone else interfering."
She hadn't thought about it before, but now there were names, and faces, and family attached, and he could only imagine how Bruce and his other sons were going to feel about this. "It's all there; he's given a few days before he intends to act. I could probably convince him to give more time, if necessary. He points out that the Skrull still believes it's Tim, as the real one is still," she gestured at the screen."
