She shrugged as the plastic bag hit the counter. If she remembered she'd just take it to Lian.
Mia was already thinking up uses to this device. She thought that it would be useful. It wasn't good to put all your eggs in one basket, and sure they had Oracle, but you couldn't just rely on one person. And who knew? Maybe one day she might need to look into something she didn't want anyone around her to know about. There were a couple phrases in his speech that stuck out to her. He called it a welcoming gift, and she had a feeling that even if no one was monitoring this that everything might be recorded.
"And just to reiterate." She said plainly because this was a sticking point. "I take no orders from you." He said that the profile he had for her was public things only, but anything closer than that would show a girl who had some rather major problems with authority until a person earned trust and respect from her or was vouched by someone who did. "I take no orders from anyone in your organization. I don't work for SHIELD because quite frankly I never would. And if that's not the case, you can take this right back."
She realized never say never, but this was something she felt strongly about.
"Wind is pretty unique." Mia looked at the projection for a long second and touched the screen again experimentally and it brought up only a couple more things about her. "Not a ton to go on." Mia responded. "Though I'm thinking that if her powers are from an active x-gene she would have at least been approached by Xavier's even if she didn't go. Anyone try them to see if there was more information." Hell, even if they had no idea what they were talking about it was something.
This would be so much easier if they still had Bart. Looks like she might be making a trip to Metropolis soon. She should at least be checked out.
