Connor wasn't far behind Mia, seeing her bike in the garage as he set the ten-speed nearby. (Hey, the small local grocery store was easier to pedal to than take a car. At least for him.) He wandered into the kitchen and set the bags down, digging out the various vegetables and starting water for tea before seeing where Mia had gotten herself to.
So he smiled when he realized where she was and who was about to emerge into the light. "If you're done harassing the bear, I'm going to make something to eat. There will be plenty for you, too." He called past her. "And I picked up more coffee. Guessing you need it, Dad?"
