Lois' passion was something that he admired, but it was also something that got her into trouble. Something would shift in her mindset where all she could see was the story she was uncovering, and not the danger that went along with it.
It would be less concerning if she had super powers. But his was was wonderfully human, and so, he worried.
"I know we've talked about it," he said, setting the papers aside to pull her into his arms, wet hair and all. "And that's why I just don't go around telling you no, and demanding that you stay at home." A soft smile as he looked down at her. "Also, because I know you'd ignore it. This story is important, and it's important that you write it. But you can write it, and get all the facts, and be safe. That's why I'm around, remember?"
"Thank you, honey," he said as he kissed her forehead, tone sincere. "Now I can worry a little bit less."
