"I don't want Red Hood anywhere near this. That will ratchet up the potential damage incurred to unreasonable levels." Batman was certain that the last thing any of them wanted to deal with was fighting Jason, especially on top of finding Joker and putting him away again. Better deal with Joker now, and deal with the fall-out from Jason, later.
"Nightwing, only engage if you have to - he's not going to be in a very forgiving mood once he finds out what's going on. There's no use for him to hate both of us."
Batman was already halfway to Arkham, the H.U.D. display on his inner windshield showing the traffic map of Gotham in faint pink and white lines. Joker would make no effort to hide himself, and activity on the road would reflect that.
"Not long," he muttered in reply, keeping his focus both on the road and the H.U.D. "Joker wants to play with us. He'll want to draw my attention." Instead of taking the tunnel into the Narrows, across the bridge to Arkham island, Batman turned left toward downtown - where Joker could make the biggest display and cause the most chaos. "I'm heading toward the financial district. Keep me posted."
