Of course... just another quiet night in Bludhaven. Some of the time, Babs wondered if Dick was biting off more than he could chew. It didn't have to do with the city or its' crime levels - which were off the charts - but more his approach to it. The day/night dynamic of how he spent his time... it was troubling. But a few conversations with Alfred on the subject had caused her to hold off being too worried... he was managing for now. But she worried just how long until 'for now' ran out.
Still, with what she was hearing, she closed her eyes and stopped typing for a moment. "You're in the middle of a firefight. Aren't you." It wasn't a question. Not really. She knew the sounds. She could probably get a voiceprint on whomever had given that order if she could pull up the audio from a second ago and enhance it. But Dick was probably looking down at them from the ceiling or the roof right now. She made a mental note to do it anyway, later on when they weren't chasing clowns.
"Yeah, I'm fine." 'Still hanging out at that hotel, hoping that every day will be the day I get to go home.' but she was fine. "It isn't assassins we have to worry about tonight. It's clowns." She got into the GCPD system and started running down what they had. APB for the warden's car... an order to keep this on the downlow... Yeah that was going to help. But that meant that her father would probably be calling Bruce in relatively soon. Better to do that than spread panic, but that usually blew up in their faces. "Focus on not dying?"
This needed to be taken care of now. And Barbara felt... god she didn't even know right now. When it came to the Joker she wanted to press her foot against his neck and wait! Something, ANYTHING to prove that she wasn't helpless when it came to that bastard. To take back some of the control that she'd lost. To take revenge for everything that he'd done. But no. She was here... This was what she could do. And sometimes, at times like this, she felt like it wasn't enough. Still, if Dick was dead he couldn't do anything, and she liked him alive.
