Peter had been busy, to say the least, of late. With what he was working on for Pepper deep in his way, he had no time to spend going out and being a normal teenager. Which was probably alright, since Gwen had left, he didn't have much in the way of friends. Mia, Effie, and Dick were his closest, with some of the Titans being friends as well, though he knew them better as Titans and as Spider-Man, not Peter Parker. Sometimes the dual identity thing really could be a pain in the ass.
Still, he'd promised Effie to help her with her robot, and he didn't have to see Aunt May that day, tests were running on what he was working on for Pepper so he couldn't really do much more with that today, so this seemed as good a time as any. He did bring his costume, of course, just in case it was necessary; yet, he was determined not to put it on in Gotham. That generally resulted in a not-so-fun lecture with Batman, and the guy wore all black, all the time. He needed a hug, and Peter just wasn't really huggable.
Approaching Effie's door then, he let out a breath and knocked quietly on it, before standing back and shoving his hands into his pockets, watching the door as he waited. Hearing her singing as she moved around, raising a brow wondering if she'd even hear the door knock.
