Batman hated to be carried, not when it wasn't necessary. He was almost certain Hal knew it, too, and glowered at him just long enough to express his complete lack of amusement once his boots finally touched roof once more. "Someone ought to teach you physics." If a hop to outer space followed the distance of a few blocks with no points in between, then his education was clearly lacking. "As a pilot, it would prove very useful."
Walking a few feet away, he waited before turning to face the Green Lantern. There could really only be one reason why Hal had sought him out, and Batman had been expecting him. Before leaving on his mission, Hal has tasked Batman with looking after Dinah. Hal had made it abundantly clear at his homecoming party that he did not approve of Bruce Wayne, and that would obviously necessitate a visit.
Of course, even if he hadn't been the man in question, there would have been little Batman could have done to prevent Dinah from dating whomever she wanted - but even as he thought that, he came up with at least a dozen ways he might have tried, given the right circumstances.
"I hear you're in Gotham." Maybe he would learn something. "Stay out of my way. To that end - what do you want, Jordan?"
