"More the company to be honest", he said in reply, as he saw no particular reason to deny his interest in getting to know Sharon a little better. Both on account of her relation to Peggy as well as the idea that as his liaison agent with SHIELD he would want to get to know her fairly well regardless. Especially given the thought that having someone as a go between who knew the modern age would be invaluable to him.
He was about to comment on his housing situation when she hit him with a completely different question, that he could almost hear Peggy herself asking him. A lot of people asked him what it was like waking up in modern times, but no one had really asked him that line of question. He was still considering how best to answer when she offered an apology, but he waved a hand to indicate that it was alright.
"There was the explosion, the water rushing up at me, and then cold. Cold that took the strength right out of me. I remember sinking in the water, of staring up toward the surface..."
The memory came to him so distinctly that he actually felt a chill in his bones, which prompted him to trail off as he indicated the bike.
"We can ride then", he said as he climbed onto the bike and gripped the handle bars. With the press of a button the engine roared to life as he looked up at Sharon. "Hop on. I'll take it easy", he added as he offered her a helmet.
