"Very well, then. We stay." He understood her wanting to have him away with Eira. Truly. He had ran the different scenarios in his mind, though, and he had opted that this was simply going to suit all three of them best. And Eira as well.
... Ever since she'd last seen her errant biological father, she'd been much more clingy, to Wanda especially. Laying her down to sleep was the worst part. Vision had remembered to pack the music box, because she would have fits without it. Eira seemed to travel well, and for once she was quite happy, turning about in his arms and making happy querying sounds at her new surroundings. Perhaps a brief change of scenery was just what she needed.
"If something does happen, you know that protecting Eira will be the first priority. But you are of extreme importance on my priority list as well. If you need me to step aside so you can find a place to focus, you know you only need to say. I will not be offended. As soon as you have need of me, I will not be far. Also, I will selfishly feel less ill at ease being close by." Factual, and absolutely no blow to his pride in admitting he would fret if left at home.
Eira made a raspberry with her lips happily, as though agreeing being left in New York wouldn't do. Then she leaned over, grabbing for Wanda while making her familiar "Mamamamamamama!" insistence.
