"But we could be in the lab doing something," he argued back. Then sighed, knowing it was useless. He was the pessimist, but it really wasn't going to do much here. So on to the other reason he was upset, finger terse against the screen as he flipped through the readouts feeding in. "Besides, this is probably all just a wild goose chase. Probably not even any dimensional anomalies happening, just our superiors keeping us out of trouble." He nod to the college students subtly. "Though probably something to it. They don't fit this town's profiled population. Chasing grandeur and hoping for a lucky find for fame in the science community, likely. So the rumor is at least true."
