Re: POOL! Dick, Wally, Barbara and open (Mia & Dinah [and Dinah's liquor] drive by)and Connor
Dick turned to look at the whistling, then the other, then the other. Wally couldn't help it. The poor boy looked absolutely tongue-tied, and Wally's laughing at him didn't help. "Strut it, Grayson!" Wally teased.
Dick promptly dunked him. "How do you know they're not whistling at you, too, West?"
Wally came up sputtering but grinning. "Cause I'm not as pretty!" Then he heard Linda whistling. He thumbed over his shoulder proudly. "That one is for me!" He was promptly dunked again, and this time flailed to get loose. "Babs!" he called, reaching. "Help, he's trying to drown me!"
"I'm not drowning you. I am affectionately introducing water to your lungs." This time he had to struggle to dunk Wally but released him quickly afterward. Wally kicked off the bottom and came up splashing, forcing Dick to shield his face with a laugh. It was really too bad there was a mixed crowd about. If there was one thing that Wally could beat Dick in, it was a splash fight. Speed was handy for those.
Wally then spotted someone walking in late. He was at the pool's edge by Barbara, perhaps a little faster than he should have gone, dripping wet as he called at the new person. "CONNOR! Get in here now and help me dunk Dick!"
Connor Hawke looked to Wally in surprise. "What? But I didn't bring swim clothes."
"Do not care!"
"No, really, I-."
"We will come after you," Wally promised.
"It's true," Dick agreed.
Connor held up a T with his hands in a time out gesture as Wally started getting out of the pool (consequently dripping all over Babs). "Waitwaitwait! Compromise! Find me shorts, and I will gladly-."
"Done!" Dick was out of the pool then, grabbing the towel. "If I'm not back in ten, come find us, Wally. It will mean he's made a break for it."
