"Sure, thanks, I'd love to." She said, shifting her weight a little and glancing at Bruce with the tiniest smile before turning her attention back to the press and relating the story. This one was tricky, since out of all of her answers, this was one was actually a lie-- and a well rehearsed one at that, so it was imperative that it didn't read as rehearsed, nor as a lie.
"I think you'll be able to find this as a matter of record with the GCPD, but about six years ago, Bruce was nearly abducted by a terrorist group, the identity of which is still confident so please don't ask me what they're called. They were planning to ransom him back to his own company for, conceivably, billions of dollars and-or whatever technology they could get from W.E. in exchange for his life.
"They were transferring him from a safe house in Gotham to the airport to take him out of country when I happened to see his face and of course immediately recognized him. I followed the car to--" she was saying when the second reporter stood up, and Dinah could already tell she was going to be a pill... she'd interrupted Dinah's story after all.
The question wasn't a surprise in itself, but the timing was, and her eyes widened, briefly taken aback by the question. Thankfully, one of the two people on the dias wasn't surprised, and before Dinah had a chance to fire back with both barrels, Bruce interrupted...
