Seeing the gun aimed at him James lifted his arm up and blocked the bullets with the metal. He heard extra movement and he glanced to the side, noticing the kid was getting the hacker free. This had been a FUBAR. He needed now to get out and regroup but he doubted the woman shooting at him would let him leave so easily.
When she spoke he just stared at her, no recognition on his face for the name. "I don't know any Buckies," he said through the modulator. He needed to get her disarmed or locate his M4. He slid his goggles back up as he slid a flat disc flashbang grenade into his hand. He flung it at where the woman was before he dove behind his own cover, covering his ears to avoid the disorientation from the bang. The goggles would keep his eyes shielded from the flash.
He needed to get out though. But the woman, whoever she was, was between him and the door. He needed to find a window and fast before more help arrived to impede him.
