The less she was reminded of the last time she'd been in this house - what with the whole "trusted the very last person she should have trusted and so gave the Skrull Queen intel and then got ambushed" thing - the happier Maria generally was. It was really just easier to bristle at the continued idea that she was interested in a relationship with Danny Rand, kung fu vigilante.
"I keep saying that I'm already dating someone, but no one seems to believe me," she said, through she did take the suggestion and moved down the steps, setting the potted plant on the edge of the sidewalk. Folding her arms across her chest, she let Danny have first dibs at dealing with his friend, assessing as she did, and coming to much the same conclusion as Danny: Matt needed someone checking up on him and feeding him.
