"You know, I could be here like this for hours", Danny said as Matt settled down. "It takes a patient man to just sit down and wait, not knowing how much of your time I will take. Fortunately for both of us I was just passing the time until you arrived."
He sat up a little straighter, and turned The Book of the Iron Fist around so that Matt could have potentially read it if he could see and the language revealed itself to him.
"There's a book between us on the mat. An instruction manual, of sorts, on how to be an Iron Fist. It has the techniques of almost every Iron Fist that has preceded me, and the pages as well as the cover are made from the scales of Shou-Lao himself. It emits a soft glow when opened, and the text, through some mystical means that I do not yet understand, can only be read by an Iron Fist."
Danny glanced down and noted that even with the book upside down, the text realigned itself so that he could read it perfectly even now.
"Can you feel anything off the pages?" It was not the reason he had asked Matt here, but he was curious as to whether the other man could. "I don't think the text is at all raised but then I've seen you read plenty of other things I never thought you would be able to."
As he gave Matt an opportunity, he went on. "There's a particular technique in here that I connected to you after reading. I have not full on tried it with another person yet as the mystical parts of my life kinda give Luke the creeps, but I have practiced it enough that I am fairly confident that I will not melt your brain. Though in the unfortunate case that I do, I promise to look over Foggy for you."
