She worked quickly. She shoved Jemma out of the way and in less than thirty seconds had the tubing around the man's neck and the needle at his throat.
Well South America had definitely been where she had been. They'd been trying to capture a Nazi scientist, and she knew the idiot was trying to mess with time travel to go back and help the reich.
But that was impossible. Everyone knew that was impossible, so it was unsurprising his equipment blew up. Right?
She swallowed. She had a hostage now, but now she wasn't sure what she should do with them. Her goal had been armory, get her team, and then get out, but now she wasn't sure on that.
She was tired, and the adrenaline was wearing off a little leaving her feeling a bit stiff and sore all over. She'd once been caught on the ground in London when a bomb went off. She was far enough way to not be injured, but close enough to be knocked around to the ground. That's how she felt now.
She pushed Coulson to walk on and over to the area he'd indicated. The screen was glossy and bright and the time (in numerals no less) and apparent date were displayed in the corner. There was some kind of emblem in the center of the screen with the word SHIELD on it.
She tightened the tubing a bit as a nonverbal cue to not move and reached out to touch the glass with the hand holding the syringe. She nearly jumped when the screen instantly changed and asked for an access code. So she was beginning to maybe believe this a lot. "My team wasn't far from me." She said. "So where are they?" She needed to know. Well Andre and Bart hadn't been that far from her. There was no way they weren't here.
She was keeping a poker face, but there was a definite underlying of slight desperation when she asked.
