It really never occurred to Connor to point out where the cheerios were. Instead, he simply stirred the contents of the bow, letting some string off the spoon to judge its thickness, then he took a cube of melon, dipped it in the honey mixture and popped it in his mouth, tasting. Then he dipped another in the bowl, offering it to Rose.
"Second opinion? Needs more ginger or no?"
Once that was validated, he poured the entire mixture into the fruit, lightly stirred it about with a spoon then got out two serving bowls. It was a silent question of whether or not she wanted some, offering the bowl toward her.
