Zinda lived for and loved these trips she made. Several of these people still had all their mental faculties, and it was kind of amazing how long she could spend there just talking with them, or hearing about how every last one of them had had a Lady Blackhawk sighting to get them through the war. It was sweet really.
However, it could also be disheartening. It felt like each time she arrived here there was on less person in the group. That was something she didn't like seeing. It was quite literally a dying breed, and honestly she wasn't even sure if she would have lived long enough to see it without the time travel. An entire generation of people would be gone soon, and really part of her felt that she really was supposed to be gone with it.
She didn't enjoy thinking about that though. So she plastered a smile on her face as she parked the jeep and smoothed out her jeans (yes, she did like wearing the costume sometimes to this place, but she had to admit the weather was very much not permitting this.)
She signed in, and the lady at the desk pointed her in the direction of the rec room she knew like the back of her hand. "Why... hello boys!" She greeted cheerfully, but she also made sure to wave to a couple of women playing cards. She was rather fond of them. War nurses. WWII and Korea.
