Who: Kyle Rayner & Todd Rice
Where: New York City
When: April 5th, 2012
What: With drinking out, Kyle puts a little actual thought into taking Todd somewhere he might enjoy. Hopefully.
Rating: Safe for work.
Kyle could not help but question his own motives in this. On the surface, Todd was his room mate, and he was just trying to get to know the guy. And that was true. By his nature, Kyle liked to meet and hang out with new people all the time, even if the feeling was not particularly mutual-which seemed to be the case with Todd. Which was why Kyle kind of doubted himself, and could not help but sympathize with the potential suspicions of Todd. Because as far as he could see it, this could all be easily construed as a mere attempt for Kyle to earn points with Jen. Only it wasn't. Not really. Sure, Kyle imagined Jen really would appreciate this and was likely having a time of it back at the apartment, but he did genuinely want to make some sort of connection with Todd.
Though he had a feeling it would be difficult to prove that.
But hopefully his choice of an outing would help to showcase his sincerity. After finding out that Todd did not drink, Kyle had scrambled to find something else for them to do, and in mulling it over and remembering what Todd did a lot during the week-namely Church business of some kind-Kyle had found what he thought would be the perfect outing for them. Well, at least for Todd anyway. But as they walked through the exhibit and were able to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and part of the Western Wall from the Second Temple in Jerusalem, Kyle could not help but take in interest in all the history and art.
As they walked through the five hundred odd artifacts from Biblical times, his original thoughts of drinking and chasing skirts could not have been further from his mind.
"Pretty cool to see all this stuff first hand, huh?", Kyle said side long, as he made an attempt at small talk.
