The sudden feeling of weightlessness was only the returning motion of the car, but what it did to Bruce's stomach made it feel like more than that. Sitting back, he turned his gaze out over the acres of his property, enjoying the colorful lights that illuminated the parts of it that were usually cloaked in shadows, even in daylight.
"It's there," he said quietly, pointing to a silo down the park on what was conceivably, once upon a time, farmland. "The rocket launches from there. Not that I use it much." Given the circumstances and her previous teasing about that subject, it suddenly seemed like an inappropriate thing to say. Looking at her, Bruce chuckled.
