Re: Steve & Cissie
Normally Steve was well aware enough of his surroundings, but there were so many people around him that there was not always adequate space to step out of the way of a wayward young one or tipsy guest. It did not help when someone bumped him from the opposite direction when he was looking the other way either, as it happened when he turned to look at the girl who offered up her apologies.
He did not recognize the costume, but that was the norm. He scarcely recognize any of the costumes as the vast majority of them had come from films and other forms of media long after he had been lost in the North Sea. The voice and the face that went with it, however, gave him a small smile. For though he had only met her briefly she had made enough of an impression with her speech against Luthor that he would have remembered her even without his photographic memory.
"I believe I have suffered worse, Miss King-Jones." He was not sure she would recognize him without the stars and stripes, let alone in this environment, and so he added, "It's good to see you again after the protest against our disgraced ex-President. I really admired your speech against Luthor."
