Re: Matt and Maria
"Ah. I'm afraid I haven't seen that one." He had no idea what a Men in Black agent was (outside of something to do with Will Smith) but he was on a roll with the blind jokes tonight. Matt had learned long ago that people would make them about him no matter what- but stepping out in front of their artillery usually did quite a bit to quell anyone who might otherwise be encouraged to try to poke fun at his disability... and it also put at ease those who awkwardly tried to treat him like everyone else. While he certainly appreciated that sentiment more than ridicule or hovering, the truth of the matter that he wasn't like everyone else. If he had faced that, so too should the people he interacted with.
"Did you." He said somewhat blandly, listening to the way her heart changed rate when she skipped over the fact that a certain horned vigilante had been on site to "help" SHIELD with their investigation. "Please let me know what you find." He added, smirking at her comment about charity functions for no reason... and his horns.
"The media enjoy the idea of my wearing them so much, I thought I'd give them a thrill for the evening. It is Halloween after all." And Matt had left a huge plastic pumpkin full of candy on his front stoop for neighborhood kids, though he wasn't sure that there would be any trick-or-treaters in Hell's Kitchen. Most of their parents probably took them in the subway up to Chelsea. The candy was sure to be better- not to mention the atmosphere.
