Re: Dinah and Bruce
"Pffft" Dinah exclaimed with a roll of her eyes. "If only antique chandeliers was all it took to impress a girl- you'd have a monopoly on that market." She teased, but it was nice to see Bruce enjoying himself... and not just feigning it for the crowd.
She held her hands up defensively when he explained why her bought Dick a circus and shook her head a little, "Okay that's a fair plan, I'm just not used to people up and buying circuses and dishing them out for Christmas. It's like buying someone a snake or a rabbit. Sure, then you have a snake or a rabbit but really, what are you going to do with it? You can't teach it to sit or heel or anything. Now you just have a snake around the house." Okay, that metaphor might not have made sense to anyone else, but it did to Dinah. This was also a good explanation of why she didn't keep pets.
Chuckling, she took his arm to help him avoid his duties as host, and pretended she didn't notice him completely ignoring any blue bloods who wanted his attention for one reason or another.
"Anything I want, huh? You should be careful with that, a girl could get used to it." She teased, looking around for funnel cake and taking in the rest of the boardwalk as well. "Funnel cake for sure. Maybe a ride on the Ferris Wheel. Then I'm going to win you a Batman because everyone could use at least one." She said, turning to give him a smug grin.
