Re: Dinah and Bruce
Bruce couldn't help but grin at her teasing. "Darling, if I were going to attempt to impress you, I wouldn't do it by destroying my property. That would not at all be cost effective." He was dramatic, but not wasteful. But he was also not above grand gestures when the mood suited him, and if he did want to impress her, there was no telling what he might do.
Of course he'd bought him a circus. Circuses held a very personal significance for Dick, and although the gift was extravagant, it was also suitable. "He grew up in one," Bruce explained. "Several actually, but Haley's Circus, primarily; his parents were flyers - acrobats. They mean quite a bit to him." Dick had never truly left the circus behind, and Bruce thought that was the healthiest thing for him. Keeping in touch with his childhood instead of divorcing himself from it the way Bruce had let him retain some of his sunny personality in spite of the tragedy that had touched his life.
Snorting a laugh, Bruce smirked. "It washes out. I'd worry more about the sugar rush." It would be Rand's fault for letting them indulge in the first place, but he was sure he could handle it.
Actually, Bruce wasn't interested in Rand at all. "Where are you headed now? May I escort you somewhere?" he asked with a swirl of his cape and a mock formal bow.
