Re: Tim & Effie & Open
Without trying to, Tim sort of realized how much he was being like Bruce in this situation. It was at once appealing and disconcerting. Though there was a distinct difference in that while for his mentor it was largely an act, for him this was more of a vehicle to be with Effie as he wanted to be without her knowing it.
For now at least.
"Good", he said, taking her hand. "There are a lot of things to see and do tonight. Let me show you." Tim led her past booths with magicians and fortune tellers, past the stage where another billionaire was performing spooky songs with a young choir, and along rows of rides set up, before finally settling near the dance floor all while trying to devise a way to stay near her without coming off as a creep.
"So, what would you like to do? Or would you prefer to run off youself?" He smiled. "I'm not like to blow your house down, but it's cool if you want to strike out on your own." Tim pretended to realize a mistake he had not truly made, as he added, "Oh wait, wrong fairy tale. You're from the one in which I dress up as an elderly grandmother in a scheme to eat you alive."
"Yeah, so that'd be awkward. The whole cross dressing man eating werewolf, I mean."
