"Oh, Mr. Wayne and I have been bumbling about the same social circles for years. After he took a more assertive position in the company we actually coordinated some of the same events. We're both interested in making the world safe and habitable for the next generation. He's a fine individual." He didn't mention or give away that he found Bruce a bit odd though. The man had a darkly layer, one he'd never tried to penetrate. Xavier simply left it at there was more to him, though. Such individuals abounded in the more intelligent social circles.
He took a bite of cotton candy, ending up with a much larger chunk and having to clumsily maneuver the soft, spindly sugar with his fingers, but it only made him smile. It was one reason why cotton candy was so fun.
