Re: Pepper and Phil (open to Tony and Maria)
"You should have brought one of the tiny aliens you're holding in a secure location," she smirked. "Tucked him in a pocket with his own pair of shades." She had to admit, it was a clever costume, even if it wasn't that much different from what he wore every day. One of these days she was going to get him into something radically outside his comfort zone and it was going to be glorious.
Looking down at her dress, Pepper ran her fingers over the rhinestone accents embellishing her hips, smiling her thanks for his compliment. "I dress so professionally every day that I like to have a little color to give it some character." It was important that she never left herself open to criticism for the way she dressed, but she refused to divorce herself completely of style, getting lost in a sea of black. It was one thing to be taken seriously by her peers, but she also wanted to be noticed by them.
But Phil looked good; healthy. Much better than the last time she'd seen him, and Pepper realized that seeing him now eased a tension within her that she'd been carrying ever since. "I'm happy to see you; you're feeling well?" she asked.
