If he noticed her wooden reaction (which of course he did), Bruce called no attention to it, continuing to admire her costume until she reminded him of his own.
"I believe it was the ingenue who is induced to sing," he pointed out, grinning. "Not the other way around. I can take you down to my subterranean lair and prove if to you, if you don't believe me." He would also very much enjoy hearing her sing again, and him - it would take a lot more cajoling to get him to sing. And not in public.
"Are you enjoying yourself? What do you think?" He looked over the carnival, trying to see it from her perspective instead of through his more critical, impassive eye.
