Matt and Open
Alright. So, strictly speaking his costume wasn't exactly from a Monster Movie, but it certainly counted as being a Halloween costume. He wore a pair of black slacks, a red dress shirt and a pair of horns. Those, coupled with his red glasses and his cane, which he had put a red pitchfork topper on, amounted to the entirety of his costume.
He took in the music his friend and his students provided-- he could have heard them through the noise of the crowds or over the carnival sounds, but he had taken a seat in the back of the gathered audience and listened. He liked the sound of them, even the strange dissonance of the children who weren't quite on pitch or on beat, but it was suitable for the occasion. He stayed seated once the performance was over, cocking his head curiously to one side as he heard Danny speak to a woman- a woman whose voice and heartbeat he recognized. Funny, he'd forgotten her name but now it seemed all too obvious.
He would catch up with Danny later. For now, Matt rose and went to rejoin the party, moving carefully through the carnival crowd.
