Danny and Open to possible audience members
There was a lot that Danny felt he owed his students after the absolute chaos of the last month, and he intended to start paying them back tonight in full. Sure, he had carved nearly thirty odd pumpkins for his various students in celebration of Halloween, but that could scarcely compare to busing them over from the Gotham school to the legendary Wayne Estate where they would have the opportunity not only to take part in some of the festivities (until the appointed hour he sent them back, of course) but to perform live for an audience comprised of people they would never normally be able to play for under ordinary circumstances.
For those within earshot or near enough to see the twenty young boys and girls dressed as skeletons and ghosts that glowed a myriad of colors do to the glow sticks woven into their costumes, they rushed the stage as only children could, anxious to sing. Behind them came Danny, clad in a skeleton costume. As he ushered the students into position he removed his mask and replaced it with a black top hat, before settling down at a piano.
"Probably not what you were expecting in live entertainment tonight, but my students and I have been working on some music we'd like to share with you that is inspired by the season. If you like what you hear we'll have CDs on hand afterword, with all the proceeds going to local charities in preparation for Christmas."
Danny swiveled on his chair toward his students in neat rows with a little grin. "Hey, you still want to do this?"
"Yes!", they said in chorus.
Danny's smile broadened as he turned back to the piano and reached toward the keys. "Alright then, here we go. This first one is called 'In the Room Where You Sleep.'"
With a touch of flair that was more for his students than anyone in the audience, Danny rolled his shoulders, cracked his knuckles, and began to play and sing the first part of their set.
