Tony and Open
Tony was surprised at how few people recognized him at a glance; really, he was in a pinstripe suit, and while the prop cigar wasn't his usual fare, he also wouldn't have thought that it was such an effective disguise, and he had at least a little experience going incognito.
Apparently, if he shaved, he looked nothing like himself and almost everything like the character he was going for. He wasn't entirely happy about it, but it was part of the costume and one good three-day binge of working in the shop would grow it all back and he could trim it to the right appearance.
Even so, he was also surprised at how few people recognized the character, even if they didn't recognize him, entirely: it helped to have Pepper nearby to complete the look, even if she didn't look like his Pepper right now - at least the emotional attachment was the same. He was rarely one to mourn the loss of classics, but it was irksome that he had to explain himself twice.
At least it was a damn good party. And if he'd made a beeline for the games to win himself and Pepper Iron Man plushies, well, that was just giving people a very good hint as to his identity.
