There was a pause at Steven's statement concerning the time gap and the adaptation, and he listened to Steve's confidence in his skill with only a small dip of his gaze. Then a small smile. "I've been in a monastery since I was a kid," he confided. "It's not as wild as your time jump, but definitely understand the trouble of catching up with the world."
But this was part of it. The monastery was a calm pond in the middle of a wild world, but it changed little. That was its charm. One could focus on changing themselves inwardly and hone their senses. However, that also meant that there was little to adapt to once inner mastery was gained. Connor was interested in helping, yes. He was also interesting in growing.
"Well, Steve, I'm not as good of a shot as the first Green Arrow, but if I can help, I would be glad to. I guess... what's next is knowing what will be expected of me."
