Raven did indeed look an odd sight compared to many painted ladies. The only adornment she wore was kohl about her eyes rather than the white and pink powders of the other ladies. The others trended toward bright, garish colors to attract the eye to their wares. Raven, however, liked black and dark reds, wore her clothes comfortable, loose and sleek, refusing the bustles that were high fashion of the era. Like many women of the era, she sewed her own clothes, in warmer weather preferring simple, sleeveless items, the loose shirts and skirts more common to the Spanish, and tall boots in nearly all weather.
"Probably not, but no matter if she isn't caught, yes?" Raven looked to Effie in greeting. "I'd love a cookie, Effie, and coffee." She liked how the coffee was brewed here, perked black as sin. She never was one to drink much more than a shot at a time anyhow.
