Connor had limits to what he was able to do. He was often the first to admit such. Sometimes that meant running into villains that were just plain out of his league. But with so many innocent people in harm's way, what else could one do? Kyle's showing up had been highly fortunate.
The fact that Kyle was friendly about it was helpful, too. There were a number of friendly capes--but there was also a very large number of them that didn't socialize with their peers a great deal--or wouldn't consider the second Green Arrow even close to a peer. Sometimes they were, well, rude, or territorial even. The thought process was lost to Connor.
Kyle obviously didn't have that style of thinking. So Connor only blinked when he noted he wasn't trying to be mean. "Blind? No." Connor swept his gaze around the restaurant briefly to see what he was missing. There was $1.54 in change on the counter. A man with a sinus infection had a patty melt he didn't seem pleased with. Two girls were texting on their phones and showing each other pictures off the internet. An older gentleman was approaching the bar, stepping a little hard likely due to an old knee injury of some sort. There were two flies in the window. Their friendly waitress had a small hole wearing in the edge of her tennies. Outside he could hear a motorcyle passing a car, along with snatches of conversation and dishes clanking inside. There was nothing dangerous seeming around this sluggish restaurant. Connor usually had little problem noticing the details when something was out of place.
