"Green is nice too." Murdock said, if only to further agitate his partner. He remembered green being nice, at least. He hadn't seen it in over twenty years, but what he remembered of green was nice.
"What sort of legal trouble were you in?" Matt asked, careful to keep his voice neutral lest she think he was jumping to conclusions. As it was, he would know if she lied in her answer by peculiarities in her heartbeat. She had been upfront about having had run-ins with the law though, which was certainly a step in the right direction. Depending on what had happened and where she stood now (legally speaking), she might very well fit right in with the rest of their clientele.
