Pro bono. That sounded like a big ol' fancy word and Rogue decided she'd look it up later. Must be something that wasn't a big deal seeing that he just said they didn't take anything high profile. That was nice and Rogue would prefer a job that was a little less hectic and publicized than some big fancy lawyer place like they showed on television. She knew she wasn't going to fit in there and from what she saw of this place, it was more comfortable and less pretentious.
Rogue let out a little laugh when Mr. Murdock commented on the favorite color of his colleague, "Ah'm rather partial to green, myself." She tried to contain the rest of the laugh though, even though the look on Mr. Nelson's face was kind of priceless. Murdock seemed unaffected by it.
And now came her turn. She could lie, but what good did that ever do her in the past? "It's kind of a long story," she said with a slightly nervous edge to it, "Ah'm a mutant and Ah used to live in Westchester with Professor Charles Xavier. He took me in after Ah got into a little trouble and helped me put my life together. Ah'll be honest, Ah'm not all that familiar with this legal stuff, Ah used to work in a mechanic shop. Ah think the only time Ah set foot in a legal office was when Ah was getting legal help myself." She said too much, oh god, she said too much. But they needed to know what they were getting themselves into.
"Ah did work a lot with the paperwork there though, not just the cars and Ah'm familiar with computers," she said truthfully, "Ah can't design a program or nothing, but nobody ever complained about me before. Whether it was work or my customer service."
