The want for kisses was entirely mutual, Teddy even nudging forward little, an affectionate touch of the tip of his nose on Billy's cheek. Billy still looked terribly sad, and he wanted nothing more than to draw him out of that depression, still worried half-sick that it was his fault, and was scrambling mentally for solutions to make it right.
No solutions came, though. He didn't know what had caused it. He knew Billy was prone to funks, but this last one...
"Something quiet?" He frowned, his mind at first jumping to Billy just wanted to withdraw from people, and Teddy was certain that was the opposite of what he should be doing right now. "Well, Tommy's birthday is the same day, and there's also your family and... and, uh, Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, she might want to see you for a bit also. Then there's..." He paused, his mind slowly catching up to the words. All I want is you. Teddy turned that over in his mind, feeling his pulse quicken and his cheeks heat along with the stubborn part telling himself that Billy might not mean...
Because as far as Teddy could remember, they had not stepped up to that part of their relationship yet.
"Do you mean... All alone, alone like--us two?" Hopeful and already embarrassed if that wasn't the case all at once, feeling terribly self-conscious and shy.
